The Seriously and Persistently Mentally Ill and Seriously Mentally Ill individuals at risk for imminent lethality or institutionalization are of the highest priority for treatment and are generally provided longer term supportive counseling and recovery focused interventions. Individuals with acute problems are provided with short-term goal-oriented intervention.

Services are available for adults in the form of individual, family and group counseling. Service plans may include the participation of others with whom the consumer has a relationship.

Medical evaluation and administering of appropriate psychotropic medication may be part of the comprehensive recovery plan that is available in conjunction with counseling services.
